Resumo

Este trabalho analisa quatro tendências principais do design tipográfico contemporâneo que apontam para uma redefinição das práticas tipográficas nas duas últimas décadas. O objetivo principal é compreender quais são as contribuições mais importantes do design de fontes digitais para o campo da tipografia.

Abstract

This paper analyzes four major tendencies in contemporary typeface design that point to a redefinition of typographic practice in the two last decades. The primary aim here is to understand what are the substantial contributions of digital typeface design to the field of typography.
