Concepts, Principies, and Methodological Aspects in the Design of Educational Hypermedia Systems

Resumo

O presente trabalho discute os principais conceitos, princípios e aspectos metodológicos implicados no design de sistemas hipermídia dirigidos para atividades educativas. A integração de conhecimentos multidisciplinares, especialmente do campo da educação e da cognição, e a opção por uma abordagem conceitual do processo de ensino-aprendizagem são fundamentais nesta nova área de trabalho para o designer de produtos de comunicação multimídia. O estudo apresenta estas questões, apontando suas implicações metodológicas.

Abstract

This paper discusses the main concepts, principies, and methodological aspects related with the design of educational hypermedia systems. The designer of multimedia communication and education products, faced with this new challenge and working area, needs to incorporate multidisciplinary knowledge, specially in the fields of education and cognition, and to assume a conceptual approach ofthe teaching-learning process. The text presents these important issues and their methodological implications for the design o f such systems.
