The garments were chosen and analyzed on the international debate and concepts of wearable art, still an incipient topic in Brazil, even with the existence of iconic works in several national collections. Wearable art can be defined as a work of art that can be dressed, that are primarily produced manually, are uniquely produced, and explore compositions with unconventional materials and different objectives, mostly representing an opposition to industrialized clothing. Following this approach, we present the Rhodia Collection, and the 'Parangolés' of Hélio Oiticica, both from the MASP clothing collection, and Ney Matogrosso's costumes from the collection donated to the Modateca SENAC/SP. Esses vestuários foram escolhidos e fundamentados no debate internacional sobre os conceitos de wearable art, pois ainda é incipiente no Brasil, mesmo com a existência de obras icónicas em diversos acervos nacionais. A wearable art pode ser definida como uma obra de arte possível de ser vestida, que primordialmente são produzidas manualmente, são peças únicas e exploram composições com diferentes materiais e objetivos, e sua grande maioria representa uma oposição às roupas industrializadas. Com este sentido, apresentamos a Coleção Rhodia e os Parangolés de Hélio Oiticica, ambos do acervo MASP, e os figurinos de Ney Matogrosso da coleção doada à Modateca SENAC/SP.
