Through understanding this relationship, Design seeks to explore ways to create and shape experiences. Thus, with a focus on the user, Design for Experience seeks to transfer its knowledge to other areas. In this direction, the objective of this article is to present a literature review – in the area of design and tourism – which results in a set of premises that, in the future, will support a model of support for the designer in the process of organizing tourist events with a focus on on the user. Assim, com foco no usuário, o Design para a experiência procura transpor seus conhecimentos para outras áreas. Nesta direção, o objetivo deste artigo é apresentar uma revisão de literatura – da área de design e de turismo – que resulta em um conjunto de aspectos que, futuramente, irá alicerçar um modelo de apoio ao designer no processo de organização de eventos turísticos com foco no usuário.
