After identifying the problem, the designer follows a logical process applied at every stage of the project. Design teams need structure, guidance, and leadership to navigate the different stages successfully. The objective of this article is to understand how leadership occurs in the Design Management process. For this purpose, an Integrative Literature Review was conducted. Ten studies were selected, with their information synthesized and organized in charts. The analysis and interpretation of the results highlighted characteristics of the Design leader and his performance in various organizational contexts. Após a identificação do problema, o designer segue um processo lógico aplicado em todas as etapas do projeto. As equipes de Design precisam de estrutura, orientação e liderança para vencer as diferentes etapas. O objetivo deste artigo é compreender como ocorre a liderança no processo de Gestão de Design. Para isso, realizou-se uma Revisão Integrativa da Literatura. Dezesseis estudos foram selecionados, tendo suas informações sintetizadas e organizadas em quadros. A análise e interpretação dos resultados destacou características do líder de Design e sua atuação em diversos contextos organizacionais. Além disso, a diferenciação entre gestor e líder de Design, embora nem sempre explícita, emergiu como tema relevante para a compreensão da dinâmica da liderança no contexto do Design.
