Among the main characteristics of this method, it is possible to highlight the project and collaborative ones. The purpose of this article is to discuss the workshop as a method for the development of critical artifacts. For this purpose, a workshop held in a design course at a private university was analysed. Because usually the meeting begins with a briefing, it was observed that there was a discrepancy between what was proposed and what was understood by students. Aiming to develop the comprehension about the subject, interviews were held with some of the workshop participants and later they were compared with the original proposal. Foi analisado um workshop realizado em um curso de design de uma universidade privada. Como usualmente, o encontro inicia com um briefing. Observou-se que havia uma discrepância entre o proposto e o compreendido pelos estudantes. Com vistas a evoluir na compreensão sobre o assunto, foram realizadas entrevistas com alguns participantes do workshop. Estas entrevistas foram comparadas com a proposta apresentada anteriormente.
