O artigo foi desenvolvido a partir de uma revisão bibliográfica acerca dos conceitos de mood board para posterior investigação do caso Smart!, como exemplo da aplicacão prática da ferramenta no processo de construção de concept. Smart! é uma incorporadora e construtora, com sede em Porto Alegre, com foco em desenvolvimento de produtos imobiliários. A discussão sobre a aplicação dos mood boards, com base nos resultados obtidos na investigação, reforçam o papel inspiracional da ferramenta e a apontam como um importante agente de socialização através do debate, diálogo e questionamento entre os envolvidos.
