Firstly, the importance of the comprehension of pictorial instructions to successful task performance is considered. After that, time dimensions are defined and parameters for the analysis of their graphic representations are presented. Ten variables are distributed into two analytical levels: conceptual and of graphic presentation. The analysis helps relate the time dimensions to the representation strategies adopted.
