It is argued that these two thoughts converge in a complementary way to the discussion of collective technical ownership as well as on the importance of design for society, weaving issues that concern the human doing as a whole. Through those ideas, proposals are outlined around the importance of the designer's role in collaborative making, along with the need for a moral caution by the design professional, conceiving the technique as a political action in a social setting. It also highlights the importance of the designer understanding of the design object as a result of multiple forces influences, which is materialized through the technique, different sociocultural perspectives, with different uses and possible interpretations. Although the author does not address disabilities or Assistive Technology, this work is interested in his thesis that technological production must be conceived from a multifactorial perspective. In this context, the designer is perceived as a political agent, capable of materializing complex issues into artifacts and structures, which influence society. We present the author's optimistic perspective on technologies, which is essential in the face of the high rate of abandonment of assistive products and the barriers imposed by various artifacts that do not consider the needs and desires of people with disabilities in their design. Throughout this article, we will focus on Bardin's work and the author's effort to compile and organize content analysis techniques, listing, throughout his work, methodological tools aimed at different levels of analysis, principles and objectives of use. This work was chosen due to its wide use, especially in Portuguese. This article discusses two examples of the application of content analysis carried out in postgraduate research, one in the area of Design and the other in the area of Education. Ao longo deste artigo será enfocado a obra de Bardin e o esforço da autora de compilar e organizar técnicas de análise de conteúdo, elencando, ao longo de seu trabalho, ferramentas metodológicas destinadas a diferentes graus de análise, princípios e objetivos de uso. Esta obra foi escolhida em decorrência de sua ampla utilização, especialmente em língua portuguesa. Neste artigo são abordados dois exemplos de aplicação da análise de conteúdo realizadas em pesquisas de pós-graduação, um na área do Design e outro na área da Educação.
