One point focused by the works is the technical discussion of cutting plywood role in the company – José Zanine Caldas – and also a formal development of cutting plywood technique. An additional discussion sets ideas about the projective act and collective anxiety orbiting the modern furniture scenario in Brazil in 1950’s. It identifies how the furniture shape construction was affected by the presence of tropical landscape and vegetation surrounding the Brazilian homes by considering the first pieces and designs for the works of Gregori Warchavchik, Flavio de Carvalho, Lucio Costa, and Oscar Niemeyer.
