The study of how the environment impacts people's lives is important within the scope of research concerning neuroscience applied to the design of spaces. From that perspective, a bibliographic review was developed in which the design of environments was analyzed beyond its physique and as an extension of the human being full of perceptions and producing behaviors. Neuroesthetics studies proposed analysis considering aesthetics as a sensitive cognition science interconnected to the emotional experiences lived by human beings in spaces. The conclusion was that the built environment establishes a reciprocal perceptual relationship with its subjects. Por isso, foi desenvolvida uma revisão bibliográfica em que o design de ambientes foi analisado além da plástica e como uma extensão do ser humano carregando percepções e produzindo comportamentos. Estudos sobre neuroestética propuseram análises que consideraram a estética como uma ciência de cognição sensível, integrante das experiências emocionais vividas pelos seres humanos nos espaços. Por fim, entendeu-se que o ambiente construído estabelece uma relação recíproca perceptiva e comportamental com seus sujeitos.
