Monuments, sculptures, paintings, among many other artistic and cultural representations should be accessible to expanded perception. With the aim of enabling autonomous access to culture for blind people or those with low vision, this article presents the methodological path for developing sustainable assistive technology that can accompany the collection of the Museum of Sacred Art of Bahia, recognizing the artistic and historical importance of MAS. As applied research, the methodological path was divided into seven stages, presented in this article are the results of stages one to four. Monumentos, esculturas, pinturas, dentre tantas outras representações artísticas e culturais deveriam estar acessíveis à percepção ampliada. Com objetivo de possibilitar autonomia ao acesso à cultura, para pessoas cegas ou com baixa visão, esse artigo apresenta o percurso metodológico para o desenvolvimento de tecnologia assistiva sustentável que possa acompanhar o acervo do Museu de Arte Sacra da Bahia, reconhecendo a importância artística e histórica do MAS. Como pesquisa aplicada, o percurso metodológico foi dividido em sete etapas, apresentadas neste artigo os resultados das etapas um à quatro.
