The tool was designed to investigate the sensory, interpretive, affective, and performative qualities of the materials, using a kit consisting of an experience map, a guide for facilitators, and affective and interpretive vocabulary cards. The kit was tested during two workshops held in 2019, at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism – FAUUSP, in São Paulo – SP, with 19 participants, including Design experts, undergraduate and graduate students, and professors. In the analysis and discussion of the results, it was observed that participants were able to use the kit without difficulties and their experiences generated qualitative data for material evaluation, which can be used in design projects.
