Deafblindness, a complex disability with different levels of auditory and visual compromise, requires a diverse ways of communication in order to facilitate interpersonal connection. On the other hand, Multiple-Sensory Disability involves visual impairment, coexisting alongside other disabilities, Global development disorders or speech impediments (Maia et al., 2013). In this context, the texture involves the sensitisation of surfaces through graphic signs, incisions and reliefs (Del Curto et al., 2010). Focusing on AAC in educational and rehabilitation-oriented environments, this research establishes theoretical bases for the development of texture design for the specific use of this audience. A surdocegueira, uma deficiência complexa com diferentes níveis de comprometimento auditivo e visual, requer diversas modalidades de comunicação para facilitar conexões interpessoais. A Deficiência Múltipla-sensorial envolve a Deficiência Visual coexistindo com outras deficiências, distúrbios globais do desenvolvimento ou impedimentos de comunicação (Maia et al., 2013). Nesse contexto, a textura envolve a sensibilização de superfícies por meio de sinais gráficos, incisões e relevos (Del Curto et al., 2010).
