Resumo

Este artigo analisa o papel fundamental do Design na digitalização das políticas públicas no Brasil através da unificação do portal Gov.br no ano de 2019, o qual integrou múltiplos serviços digitais do Governo Federal em uma só plataforma, priorizando uma abordagem centrada no usuário. Esta iniciativa visa melhorar a acessibilidade, eficácia e transparência dos serviços públicos, adaptando-se às demandas variadas da população. A partir da implementação de diretrizes de UX/UI e princípios de Design Iterativo, o portal unificado foi projetado para ser funcional, intuitivo e acessível para uma ampla gama de cidadãos, reunindo mais de mil serviços e alcançando 823 milhões de acessos em 2023. Os resultados das avaliações de usabilidade demonstram alta satisfação dos usuários, refletindo em uma redução significativa nas chamadas para centrais de atendimento e melhorias na eficiência operacional do governo, o que evidencia a proposta inicial deste estudo.

Abstract

This article examines the fundamental role of Design in the digitalization of public policies in Brazil through the unification of the Gov.br portal in 2019, which integrated multiple digital services of the Federal Government into a single platform, prioritizing a user-centered approach. This initiative aims to improve the accessibility, effectiveness, and transparency of public services, adapting to the diverse demands of the population. Through the implementation of UX/UI guidelines and Iterative Design principles, the unified portal was designed to be functional, intuitive, and accessible to a wide range of citizens, gathering over a thousand services and reaching 823 million accesses in 2023. The results of usability evaluations demonstrate high user satisfaction, reflecting a significant reduction in calls to service centers and improvements in the government's operational efficiency, which underscores the initial proposal of this study.
