Resumo

Este artigo apresenta uma Revisão Sistemática da Literatura (RSL) sobre o uso de jogos como ferramentas educacionais e terapêuticas para o desenvolvimento de habilidades sociais, cognitivas e comportamentais em pessoas com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA). O método aplicado foi adaptado do protocolo PRISMA (Principais Itens para Relatar Revisões Sistemáticas e Meta-análises), com recorte temporal de quinze anos. Três bases de dados foram utilizadas para seleção de setenta e seis artigos na fase de Identificação. Na fase de Triagem, quarenta e dois estudos foram classificados e destes, dezesseis foram elegíveis para análise e discussão dos dados. Os resultados apresentaram uma tendência de estudos de cunho analítico e observacional para compreender o impacto do uso dos jogos digitais no atendimento de pessoas com TEA, entretanto, apontam os jogos, tanto digital quanto de mesa, como recursos terapêuticos eficazes para estimular e desenvolver as habilidades sociais, cognitivas e comportamentais destes indivíduos.

Abstract

This article presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on the use of games as educational and therapeutic tools for the development of social, cognitive and behavioural skills in people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The method applied was adapted from the PRISMA protocol (Principal Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses), with a time frame of fifteen years. Three databases were used to select seventy-six articles in the Identification phase. In the Screening phase, forty-two studies were classified and of these, sixteen were eligible for data analysis and discussion. The results showed a trend towards analytical and observational studies to understand the impact of the use of digital games in the care of people with ASD; however, they point to games, both digital and tabletop, as effective therapeutic resources for stimulating and developing the social, cognitive and behavioural skills of these individuals.
