Resumo
O mood board é um instrumento de Design no qual gera-se um painel com referências visuais relativas ao contexto do projeto. As funções deste instrumento vão desde a comunicação, aprendizagem coletiva e estímulo da criatividade, até a definição e resolução do problema de projeto. Neste contexto, o objetivo deste trabalho é analisar o mood board enquanto instrumento de design cujas influências se estendem ao longo de importantes etapas do processo projetual, desde a geração inicial de ideias, até o contato com o consumidor final.

Abstract
The mood board is a design tool in wich is generated a panel with visual references related to the project context. The functions of this tool range from communication, collective learning and creativity stimulation, until setting and solving the design problem. In this context, the objective of this paper is to analyze the mood board as a tool whose influences extend along the major steps of the design process, from the initial idea generation, to the contact with the end consumer.
