Resumo
Há 20 anos Sidney Smith e Jane Mosier, durante um projeto da equipe da Divisão de Sistemas Eletrônicos da Força Aérea Norte Americana, elaboraram 944 diretrizes de usabilidade de interface de softwares. A partir do estudo deste trabalho, buscou-se verificar a durabilidade e aplicação destas em relação às páginas web. Na primeira etapa da pesquisa as diretrizes foram categorizadas em relação ao grau de validade. A segunda fase envolveu a elaboração de um protótipo para testes de usabilidade voltados à verificação da pertinência das diretrizes aplicáveis às páginas web. Com isso, espera-se colaborar para o desenvolvimento de interfaces mais amigáveis.

Abstract
Twenty years ago Sidney Smith and Jane Mosier, during a project of the Electronic Systems Division of the United States Air Force, elaborated 944 guidelines of usability of softwares interface. From this study, the durability and application of these guidelines were verified in relation to web pages. In the first stage of the research the guidelines were categorized in relation to the validity degree. The second phase involved the elaboration of an archetype for tests of usability aiming the verification of the relevancy of the guideline applicable to web pages. A potential outcome of this work is the development of friendly interfaces.
