Resumo

Este artigo pretende refletir sobre elementos presentes na caracterização da pesquisa e da prática profissional do design. O trabalho investiga elementos de uma sistematização percebida tanto na natureza dos interesses das pesquisas científicas em design quanto no processo pelo qual atravessa o designer durante o exercício de sua prática profissional. Cabe salientar que este estudo não deve avançar na discussão sobre a estruturação do design enquanto campo científico propriamente dito (já que não investiga tópicos essenciais a tal discussão), mas sim pensar questões cujas reflexões permitam auxiliar a compreensão da atividade.

Abstract

This article aims to reflect on elements in the characterisation of research and professional practice of design. The work investigates elements of a systematization perceived both in the nature of the interests of scientific research in design as in the design practice professional process. It should be noted that this study should not proceed in the discussion on the structure of the design as a scientific field itself (since no research topics essential to that discussion), but thinking issues whose reflections allow assist in the understanding of the activity.
