Resumo

Este artigo insere-se no âmbito do design da informação em bulas de medicamentos no Brasil e busca a adequação e aprimoramento do processo de design do conteúdo textual de bulas. Neste sentido, apresenta-se a técnica qualitativa de coleta de dados do Protocolo Verbal (Think Aloud) aplicada ao design da informação para observação das estratégias de leitura da bula de medicamento pelo paciente/usuário. Foi realizado um estudo com quatro participantes utilizando esta técnica. A partir dos resultados gerados, pode-se dizer que o Protocolo Verbal contribui para coleta de dados sobre a leitura de bulas de medicamentos.

Abstract

This paper is in the scope of information design in medicine inserts in Brazil and it aims the adequacy and improvement of the design process of medicine insert ́s textual content. Thus, the qualitative technique for data collecting, Verbal Protocol (Think Aloud) is applied to information design to observe the medicine inserts reading strategies used by patient/user. A study was conducted with four participants using this technique. According to the results, it is possible to say that the Verbal Protocol contributes on data collection on the reading process for medicine inserts.
