Resumo

Este artigo investiga o potencial da utilização da Inteligência Artificial Generativa (IAG) no design de futuros a partir de uma revisão sistemática de literatura acerca desses dois temas, com foco na utilização de Large Language Models (LLM) habilitados para processamento de linguagem natural (PLN) como ferramenta auxiliar no processo de elaboração de cenários, produtos e serviços futuristas, atuando como expansores do repertório e da potência criativa dos designers. Através da revisão sistemática de literatura, foram selecionadas, após aplicação dos critérios de exclusão adotados, oito publicações relevantes, a partir de um total de sessenta e três, cujos achados foram discutidos neste artigo. Com base na análise de estudos e experimentos prévios, propõe-se um framework de design de futuros assistido por IAG, estruturado em duas fases e sete etapas, voltado principalmente para o contexto de design estratégico corporativo. O Microsoft Copilot foi a ferramenta de referência utilizada para a criação do framework.

Abstract

This article investigates the potential of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) in design futures through a systematic literature review on both topics, focusing on the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) enabled for Natural Language Processing (NLP) as an auxiliary tool in creating futuristic scenarios, products, and services, acting as expanders of designers' repertoire and creative power. The systematic literature review selected eight relevant publications, out of sixty-three, after applying exclusion criteria, whose findings are discussed in this article. Based on the analysis of previous studies and experiments, a GAI-assisted design futures framework is proposed, structured in two phases and seven steps, primarily aimed at the corporate strategic design context. Microsoft Copilot serves as the reference tool for the framework's creation.
