Resumo

Este trabalho observa o avanço da Internet das Coisas em um cotidiano cada vez mais mediado por tecnologias digitais e discute algumas perspectivas para o design de experiência de usuário em contextos de automação residencial. O trabalho apresenta uma revisão teórica sobre o conceito de "casas inteligentes", um panorama do contexto atual de adoção dessas tecnologias e uma enquete com usuários sobre a percepção do impacto dessas tecnologias no nosso cotidiano. Em seguida, o trabalho destaca alguns autores que apontam a importância da integração das especificidades das tecnologias de computação pervasiva com os métodos e técnicas do design de experiência de usuário, visando a construção de interações sociotécnicas mais relevantes num cenário em que as mídias digitais se tornam cada vez mais inteligentes e autônomas.

Abstract

This work observes the advancement of the Internet of Things in a daily environment increasingly mediated by digital technologies and also discusses some perspectives for user experience design in the context of home automation. It presents a theoretical review of the "smart homes" concept, an overview of the current adoption of these technologies and a user survey about their perception on the impact of these technologies on our daily lives. Subsequently, the work highlights some authors who point out the importance of integrating the specificities of pervasive computing technologies with the methods and techniques of user experience design, aiming the construction of more relevant sociotechnical interactions in a scenario where digital media has become increasingly intelligent and autonomous.
