Abstract

This article presents the development of methodology to verify the user experience of scientific journals focusing on the visual design of the interface. The aim of this research was to develop a research process that would aid in understanding how visual design affects the user experience in these scientific communication vehicles. The methodology of the research is described from the selection of basic methods, the definition of a tool for data collection and the planning of the application procedures of this tool. Through the methodology developed, we analyzed the journal Blake Quarterly, which has been published in the Open Journal System (OJS). It is hoped that the results of this research contribute to both the elaboration and qualification of scientific publications, favoring communication between researchers and the dissemination of research results.
