Resumo
Design e ecologia associam-se definitivamente neste final de século. O Eco-Design passa a ser objeto de estudos, palestras, concursos. O autor realizou pesquisas sobre algumas das origens sócio-culturais da tendência, com raízes na contracultura dos anos sessenta, assim como junto a escritórios e empresas canadenses e brasileiras procurando verificar o atual estado-da arte da mesma O objetivo da pesquisa, financiada pelo CNPq, foi o de estabelecer parâmetros sobre a real interface do Eco-Design com a atividade profissional dos designers, separando o que é discurso teórico do que é praxis.

Abstract
The author searched the interfaces between designers, enterprises and the EcoDesign, through a series ofinterviews with Canadian designers. He also studied some ofthe origins ofthe subject andfound out interesting relations with the counterculiure ofthe sixties. The ideia was to find the State-of-Art of the Eco-Design in the optics of daily products.
