Resumo

O design de transições para a sustentabilidade insere-se no paradigma do design contemporâneo, refletindo seu processo de expansão do foco de atuação do design e seu caráter transdisciplinar. Como o design de transições ainda não está consolidado e é pouco conhecido no Brasil, este artigo visa, por meio de revisão bibliográfica, elucidar suas bases teóricas e metodológicas, fornecendo subsídios para a formação de uma práxis decolonial de design de transições para a sustentabilidade. A revisão sugere a importância de papeis dialógicos e estratégicos no design de transições, que propõe novas formas de pensar o design. Ademais, diversas disciplinas, segmentos e abordagens de design podem contribuir no desenvolvimento de cenários futuros ou de intervenções para concretizá-los, que requerem inovação tecnológica e social. Por fim, dada a necessidade de uma abordagem decolonial, a revisão sugere a cosmovisão do Bem Viver como referência para o desenvolvimento de cenários.

Abstract

The design for sustainability transitions is part of the contemporary design paradigm, reflecting its process of expanding the focus of design and transdisciplinary character. As transition design is not yet consolidated and is little known in Brazil, this article aims, through a bibliographic review, to elucidate its theoretical and methodological bases of its theory and metodology, providing subsidies for the formation of a decolonial praxis of design for sustainability transitions. The review suggests the importance of dialogic and strategic roles in the transition design, which proposes new ways of thinking design. Furthermore, different design disciplines, segments, and approaches can contribute to developing future scenarios or interventions to achieve them, which require technological and social innovation. Finally, given the need for a decolonial approach, the review suggests the cosmovision of Buen Vivir as reference for the development of scenarios.
