O objeto de estudo é a Arquitetura de Informação do portal IBGE. O portal disponibiliza grande quantidade de dados estatísticos, socioeconômicos, geocientíficos e ecológicos. O problema da pesquisa é que os usuários do portal têm grandes dificuldades em encontrar as informações disponibilizadas pela instituição. The IBGE portal is an emblematic example of the Brazilian e-Government communication challenges. This site disseminates large amount of statistical data – socioeconomic, ecological and geographical – that contributes to the formulation of state policies as well as helps in its dialogue with civil society. The problem of research is that users of the website could not find the information they specifically needed. Oral history interviews were applied in context research.
