Resumo

Este artigo avaliou as interfaces dos sistemas de áudio domiciliares. Muitos problemas foram encontrados, a maioria deles exclui parte da população por exigir um esforço cognitivo alto e conhecimento prévio de terminologias e idiomas estrangeiros. Análises com produtos disponíveis no mercado nacional foram realizadas com base nas linhas-guia oferecidas pela ISO 9241-11(1998). Foram sugeridas recomendações para o redesign destes produtos tendo em vista a inclusão de usuários.

Abstract

This article evaluates the man-machine interfaces found on Compact Home Audio Systems. Many issues were addressed, most of them deprive a large contingent of people from operating these electronic goods, which happens mostly because there is a high cognitive demand and they require previous knowledge on tech symbols and foreign language. Local products were evaluated according to guidelines given by the ISO 9241-11 (1998). Improvements were suggested for manufacturers aiming to reach more users.
