Resumo

Aproximações entre a pesquisa-ação e o processo de projeto são evidentes. Dentre as principais características deste método, evidencia-se seu caráter projetual e colaborativo. Dado esse contexto, este artigo investiga a participação de um seminário interdisciplinar - com especialistas nas áreas de Design e Psicologia - em um processo de pesquisa-ação no campo do Design, em nível de pós-graduação, a fim de explorar suas particularidades. Para isso, discute-se o papel do mesmo nos diversos ciclos do projeto, que possuía uma abordagem voltada para o usuário. Verificou-se que o seminário seguiu uma hierarquia horizontal, na qual todos os comportaram-se como conselheiros, refletindo criticamente sobre o projeto e apontando caminhos promissores. Embora quase sempre pautados pelos seus conhecimentos prévios, os papéis de cada um dos integrantes nem sempre eram bem delimitados.

Abstract

Similarities between action research and design process are evident. Among the main characteristics of this method, it is possible to highlight the project and collaborative ones. Given this context, this article investigates the participation of an interdisciplinary seminar - with specialists in the areas of Design and Psychology - in an action-research process in the Design field, at a postgraduate level, in order to explore its particularities. Aiming this, the article discuss the role of seminar in the several cycles of the project, that had a user-oriented approach. It was found that the seminar followed a horizontal hierarchy, in which all behaved as advisers, reflecting critically on the project and pointing promising paths. Although almost always guided by their previous knowledge, the roles of each of the members were not always well delimited.
